How SpeedReel works
SpeedReel pairs AI generation with a real editing timeline, so you go from a prompt to a finished video in one place — without exporting between half a dozen tools.
- 1
Generate from scratch
Create a project and add your first clip. The editor opens with your generation controls on the left, a live preview in the centre, and a multi-track timeline below.
- 2
Bring in references (optional)
Upload images, video, or audio — or generate reference images and storyboards right inside the app. Lock a reference so the same character, product, or scene carries across every clip.
- 3
Describe the shot
Write a prompt, or let the built-in assistant guide you with a few quick questions — format, subject, action, setting, camera — and write a structured, model-ready prompt for you. Set duration, aspect ratio, and resolution.
- 4
Generate in parallel
Hit Generate and keep working. Clips render in the background, and you can queue several at once instead of waiting one-by-one.
- 5
Build on the timeline
Arrange clips across stacked video and audio tracks, split and duplicate, add AI music, dialogue, or sound effects, and balance levels per track — all on one timeline.
- 6
Preview and export
Scrub the live preview, pick your aspect ratio and resolution, and export a finished reel — ready for Shorts, Reels, TikTok, YouTube, or ads.
